Restaurant tile mural: The Meatery, Seaside, California
This bull portrait was made for The Meatery in Seaside, California. Measuring approximately 5½ feet × 5½ feet, it was printed across 6 × 6-inch Daltile wall tiles.
The finished installation shows what a single, well-chosen image can do: make the wall part of the restaurant’s identity. Imagine the same approach with your own illustration, local landmark or brand story.
From separate tiles to one clear picture
Before shipping this mural, we laid the tiles out and numbered them for installation. Any pieces damaged during firing were remade before the order left us.
That planning matters: your installer needs to know where each tile belongs. The photos below show the bull portrait installed at The Meatery.

Large tile murals for offices, hotels and reception areas
Our showroom mountain-and-elk mural measures 5 feet high × 8 feet wide, printed across 6 × 6-inch Daltile wall tiles. Small individual tiles can build a much larger scene.
It even caught the attention of Callie, our border collie, who kept watching the elk as though they might need herding. A favourite landscape can bring that same sense of life to an office, a reception wall or a home.
The image is kiln-fired into the glaze for a durable decorative finish. Choose the tile and cleaning method for the intended setting; the surface is not scratch-proof.

A cottage kitchen with its own wildlife story
This rental-cottage backsplash uses 6 × 6-inch wall tiles to bring bird and wildlife imagery into the kitchen. It is a good example of a smaller space with a distinctive theme.

You do not need to arrive with every detail solved. A photo of the area and a rough measurement give us a practical starting point.
Planning your commercial tile mural
What tile sizes can you print?
Our wall tile sizes are 4.25 × 4.25 inches and 6 × 6 inches. Floor and outdoor tile options include 12 × 12 inches and up to 12 × 18 inches, with smaller sizes cut from those tiles. We also work with 2 × 2-inch swimming pool tile. Tell us where the tile will be used so we can discuss the appropriate option.
Can floor or outdoor tile be used on an indoor wall?
Yes. Floor or outdoor tile can also be used on an indoor wall. Your installer should check the wall construction, tile weight and fixing materials for the installation.
Can you print our logo, photograph or artwork?
Yes. Send the best-quality original file you have permission to use. We review the image against the proposed mural size and discuss cropping and grout lines. Fine text and small logo details need particular attention.
Will the printed colours match our brand exactly?
We aim to get close, but an exact colour match cannot be guaranteed. Kiln-fired ceramic colours can differ from a screen or paper print. If a particular colour is critical, raise it at the start so we can discuss what is achievable.
How are the tiles arranged and installed?
We plan the image across the tiles and provide a layout map, numbered tiles or both, as appropriate to the project. Your installer handles the installation and checks the substrate, adhesive, grout, waterproofing and any floor or slip-resistance requirements. Read the tile mural installation guide.
What do you need for a quote?
Send your artwork or idea, overall width and height or tile quantity, intended wall/floor/outdoor use, shipping city and country, and preferred timing. Include a photo of the space if possible. We can discuss feasibility, price and production timing for your particular job.
